Thanks for taking the time out to even read this.
I am new to the game and still trying to weed out the information I need to set the foundation for my litle home studio . I've decided to keep it as simple as possible and slowly upgrade as I've mastered the equipment I can afford.
Presently , I have just an MPC1000 and a turn-table. I have a computer but I actually plan to sell it as I would prefer not to use it for the recording process.
The Equipment I plan to invest in are :
Mic
Multitracking Recorder
Keyboard
My question is this
I have realized so far that some additional Eq'ing is needed for me to achieve the sounds I would like and . I know from reading a number of different articles I would need a mixer to use my Keyboard and My Mic and to route everything to the Recorder. Would I need a stand alone Equalizer or is the equalizer on the mixer good enough for me to boost or filter certain frequencies? And which type of Bus would suit my needs ?
I know that there have been many topics on this but its usually not specific to my situations per se, and some of those sites are more referring to recording with your computer.
What mixers ( and if neccesary equalizers ) and Multi-track Recorders would you guys recommend? Once again thanks for your time and patience. Getting started is a lot tougher than I thought it would be(especially with a limited bugdet).
