Using Full Level for sounds

Would you reccomend staying away from this altogether (assuming there is no issue with the sound quality of the sample---every sampled was normalized automatically during recording)? Or there instances where you use it sometimes?

I was going to post this in the Production Techniques section, but it seems simple enough to go here.

i use full level only for layers that i dont want to be velocity sensitive. if i am using a chopped up melody or something. and it already has its variences, i will use full level just to make sure that it stays even.

i also might use it on the main structure of my drums. the the kick on one, the snare on 3. then take it off to add ghost hits and fills and hats and ish.

with me it all depends on the sample.

i don't even use FULL LEVEL anymore unless I am testing out the peaks on each sample, ever since I figured out how to make individual pads/samples always play at their full level....

Cool, true about the layerinf coz, I've used Full myself on those occasion. For the most part I think I'm using it too much, usually because I make beats late at night and don't want to make too much noise banging the pads too hard.
