i was installing the EXM128 into my mpc1000 and the left clamp that holds down the memory snapped, i just proceeded with the installation but now im paranoid i messed something up... how can i check within the mpc to see if it is recognizing the EXM128 card or not, is there an option that gives you those stats?

.
If you are running the Akai os, the screen briefly tells you how much RAM is installed when you boot up.
If you are already switched on... Press MODE followed by pad 5 RECORD
Then press the WINDOW button.
The screen tells you RAM amount and no. of minutes or seconds sampling time left.

it says 16mb which means its obviously not reading the card. is this clamp absolutely nescessary or can it still be installed and read?

and if it is nescessary, how much does this cost to fix???
