that would be used with an mpc 4000 for recording vocal ideas - maybe namm brought something new... i need at least 4 tracks... tks

Look into the Roland VS series or either the Boss BR series joints. The VS series are very nice machines especially with the effect cards installed.

I'm diggin' the Roland stuff...right now I have a BOSS BR864 that I picked up a few years back...I'm looking to upgrade...Roland is on my list becuase of the VGA...with the BOSS I transfer my aiff's to my computer via usb...I'd like a system with usb and CD burn option...you can get that with a higher series BOSS other than the one I have...I don't think they even make that one anymore...its petty cool for a small home studio...it has cosm effects...but my mixing board has preset effects..grabbed that a few months back...neva ending...unless I find a few hundred thou sittin around....
