transfering from Cubase LE to MPC 1000

First let me preface this by saying that I have had my MPC for over a year now, and this forum has been essential in my progress. BUT NOW...

I have recently purchased a Firebox that comes with Cubase LE. I recorded some guitar and bass tracks into Cubase, and I want to get these tracks into my MPC to chop and sample. Now do I need to..

1. Convert the tracks to .wav? If so, how?
2. Chop them in Cubase first?
3. Can I transfer via USB?

Believe me I am a search junkie on this forum, and this post is not due to being lazy. I just could not find the specifics for what I want to do. ANy help is greatly appreciated!

1. yes. look up how to export tracks in the cubase help file.

2. chopping on computer is easier than in the mpc. don't know how cubase handles it exactly since i don't use cubase much but a friend who does usually exports the track out to cool edit and chops it with that. you could also export it to something like Audacity, a free open source simple waveform editor/tracking program.

3. yes, once you have the file in the correct wav format just drop it in the card folder after connecting the MPC to your computer with the USB cable....
