you don't necessarily need a calculator, any old way to find the bpm will work, even your ear will work.

why is people saying its gonna take some math when it comes to timestretching and sampling

cuz u timestretch it by the percent on the 2000xl or by the bpm difference for the 1000(if i remember right). I can't imagine doing a math formula to time stretch though, most people just timestetch what they think is good amount and keep it/scrap it/try again till its good.

Use your ears if you don't wannt use the calculator.
