to answer your first question .. make the MPC MIDI master set as
midi clock .. set the XR to recieve midi clock ...
to answer your second question .. if you are only going to record the audio
from your XR and NOTHING else and you want to record on your Pc
you should be able to patch right in to your PC depending on your soundcard and record in sonar or what have you ...
if you want audio from the MPC as well you will need to add a mixer to your setup ...
