recording keyboard sounds

OK....So i can send my midi sounds to my monitors and cubase that come from my mpc samples....but how am i able to record the actual sounds my keyboard makes 2 my cubase le?its rather old it has midi connections,sustain and output...how do i set up the cables?and configuration on my cubase?

p.s ive searched 4 this already but cant find anwsers

you can record two types of data: MIDI and AUDIO. MIDI is all about what buttons or keys you pressed while playing. AUDIO is the actual sound itself made when you played.

you have to hook up cables for both types of data if you want to use both types of data. everything runs out of one machine and into another. by machine i mean anything with inputs and outputs, it could be a mixer, a keyboard module, a software program, and plenty of machines have both types of data INs and OUTS, like your MPC. the MPC can also record both types of data, as can some software programs....

all of this is explained in great detail on the Tweakheadz website. google it. then google every piece of equipment you have and read their manuals. if you come across a term you don't understand while reading any of the above, google it.

believe me the answers to your question are easily found when searched for using the above method....

THX..i know what ur trying to say..But what would this forum be if we all googled our questions?normally i would go that route but my comp has mad viruses and freezes right now, so im going this route right now

dude if your computer is too fragged to google manuals and ish you should go fix that before even considering using it for music.....

YALL SUM STRAIGHT DIKHEADZ MAN.........I actually fixed my computer......u can find anything on google so why the fuk even have this site 4?i can get my keyboard to bring out its actuall sound now...but i just cant get it to actually record to cubase le...my mpc is fine...but i cant record anything from my keyboard

Be easy,
one way to do it is record your drums first. Then hook the 1/4 inch audio cables from keyboard to interface or soundcard. Then play it live over your beat OOOr use the MPC to trigger the Keyboard via MIDI.
