NEW TO KEYBOARDS

I have an mpc 2000, a mackie mixer, numark mixer, turntable and cd burner...

my friend is offering to sell his korg triton le for 300 dollars and i found a microkorg for 240.

i am new to keyboards, so can anyone school me on the differences between the two?

should i purchase both?

i don't know much about the triton series, but i believe they are more stock sample based workstations. the microkorg is an analog modeling synth, which means it provides more control over sound shaping, although it is setup with a bunch of presets, easy for beginners. the triton has a built in sequencer, it was designed to be an all in one type machine you can use to create tracks with out of the box. the microKorg is more for sound shaping, used as part of a setup, attached to a sequencer for example....

the microKorg is really great for bass sounds....

you can't go wrong really with owning more than one keyboard....

so the triton....it comes with stock samples, but is there a way that you can buy cards or memory to change the sounds? can you purchase a card of different sounds and insert it into the triton and play them?

microkorg good for bass? hell yeah, thats what im looking for.
