Midi Mixer and MPC

hey guys, this is my first post. cool forum btw.

anyways, i bought an mpc 1000 because im interested in electronic music and thought sampling was pretty tight. ive got a bunch of different tracks saved into a sequence and they are great and all and its fun to just jam and switch between them. but i was wondering if theres ways i can apply filters and effects to tracks and be able to adjust them using some sort of mixer for live purposes. is this possible?

im sure this has probably been covered, but thanks to anyone who can help me out.

can i hook a bcr to my mpc?

the short answer is yes.

the mpc 1000 features 4 individual audio OUTS which can be connected to a mixer. from there you could route those channels into various effects devices, or send them into your computer to be manipulated in the virtual world. you can assign individual samples in the MPC to output through one of these 4 OUTS.....

this is all covered in your manual. go read it. then go look at the tweakheadz website for more ideas. i also suggest you look through the hundreds of pages of home studios in the "pics of your crib" thread here in the forums under studio environments......

can i do this with midi though?

like can i assign almost anything ie. swing, pitch of individual tracks, effects of individual tracks, ect. with some sort of midi controller and have it saved so i can load it everytime i want to?

sorry i dont know anything about midi technology. if it doesnt work this way what do you guys reccomend?
