Matching Tempo for Chops???

ok heres the newbie question of the day. i currently have a mpc 1000, sony acid 5, soundforge, cubase. basically i want to know whats my easiest way to find the tempo of my recorded sample so i can have the same tempo programmed into the mpc so everything stays tight?

or just finding the original tempo for timestreching purposes.
