I have a MPC 1000, Triton, MBOX 2, and a MAC. Now how do I connect each. See what I want is to connect the Keyboard to the MPC 1000, and the MPC 1000 to the MBOX 2, and then the MBOX 2 to the MAC. Plz be specific, not sarcastic. When I connect the MIDI out on the Triton to the MIDI IN 1 on the MPC 1000, I can't hear anything when I hit the pads. But when I connect the MIDI IN & OUT from TRITON to MPC, and MPC to TRITON, I hear sounds when I hit the pads. I have an idea about what I want, but I don't know how to see it through Protools. HELP HELP HELP. PLZ just read to someone else's problem if you can't help mine. I don't need to hear or read " READ YOUR MANUAL" that's why I asked the question. Be very specific. Than-you.

I think what you want to do is:

midi out keyboard > midi in mpc
midi out mpc > midi in keyboard

I'm not sure if the mbox has 1 or 2 audio inputs
audio out keyboard > audio in mbox (while recording keyboard sounds)
audio out mpc > audio in mbox (while recording samples)

Mbox > Computer via Firewire

How it works is you play your keyboard and record the midi event data in the mpc. Then when ready to record on your computer you playback the midi event data through the keyboard through the mbox to the computer.
