Need help hooking up my MPC & Turntable

I am new to this. Can anyone tell me how I can connect my turntable to the MPC1k in order to sample records. Thanks in advance.

do you have a dj mixer?
if so...
turntable rca out > dj mixer rca in
dj mixer rca out > mpc 1k 1/4 inch in (go to radioshack and pick up 2 male rca > 1/4 inch male cable)

should work

If you dont have a dj mixer it may still work using just an rca cable > 1/4 inch cable but the rca would need to be female

I don't have a DJ mixer. Thanks for the help

I just read a different thread that says you cant bypass a mixer from turntable > mpc unless you have an mpc 4k

go buy a cheap mixer or nice mixer or old stereo with "phono" input and you are in business. in the mean time you can hook the stereo up to it and mess with CDs
