akai mpc 2000 problems (please help)

akai mpc 2000 problems (please help)

i have the mpc and the keyboard but cant hook the keyborad to the mpc it has a usb jack on the back of the keyboard not a midi but the keyboard is a midi board can anyone help and tell me how to hook up what kind of cords i need thanks

alright thanks for the info i thought one of those would work but someone try tellin me it only worked on computer not keyborad to mpc but since you showed me im goin research more and check it out thanks

If your kybd requires you to install drivers then no, drivers cannot be installed on any mpc. It wouldn't work in that case.

Also, I've never used such an adapter but this would be something me myself would look into unless I found out otherwise it doesn't work.

Maybe someone else here has actually used a cable like that or has it working, anyone?

What kind of keyboard is it? I can't think of any that have USB and not MIDI. Also if you have computer you could use that type of cable and use the computer as kind of a MIDI processor. You could plug the keyboard into the computer and then plug the cable into the computer and have the MPC plugged into the MIDI out from the computer...

its a yamaha keyboard but hookin thru the computer to the mpc sounds like it should work im goin look in on that thanks
