I have an external soundcard with a stereo input and i was wondering what the best way to track my beats from my MPC 2500 into my software (Cubase) would be. I have tried recording my whole sequence into Cubase at once but it never seems to sound quite the same as it did when playing from the MPC.
I am confused by the whole 'tracking each individual track at a time' thing. Is this basically saying for example create a drums program and then each track gets its own hit e.g. Kick on 1, Snare on 2. If so how does this work if you want to sequence your snare and kicks for example on the same take?
Thanks in advance for the help.

When trackin out from ur mpc its best to track each element individually..

Kicks on one track.. snare on another.. hi hat on another.. melody on another.. bass on another etc etc.. so when u mix ur beat on computer u have everything seperate and can run each on individual mixer channels and process / mix how u like.

Hope this helps and i worded it right
