Help with transfering sounds via USB from PC to 1000

Ok, I followed the directions in the manual. I get to the part where it says to drag the audio to the removalble disc under my computor, but when I click on the icon it says "insert f drive". I can see that my pc is detecting the MPC but I can't transer anything. Suggestions?

I didn't have one in the machine at the time. I chose the option to save to the mpc's hard drive.

I thought the MPC came with a hard drive. Do I have to buy one? I tried putting in the CF card and was able to view the folders with sounds, but when I tried to upload to my MPC it said "insufficient memory" It's a 32mb card and I only tried to upload 1 sample, so I don't see why I wouldn't have memory. And what do you mean by MPC formatted? They were WAV.
