Just got an external 100mb Iomega ZIP drive for my 2000xl. The cord I got from the guy is a parallel port to parallel port and I need a parallel port ( ZIP drive) to a SCSI (mpc). Do they make cables that will work for this type of application or do I have to buy a drive that runs SCSI to SCSI? Do they even make those? Also the ZIP discs that he gave me are formatted for Macs. Will this be an issue? Thanks for all your help!

You will need a SCSI ZIP drive. I don't think a parallel port version will work, it's a different system. But they are not very expensive used. You can even try getting a 250 MB drive.

Also, you can get an internal IDE ZIP to replace the floppy drive. Saves you the hassle of that additional box lying around. Some more info here
