HOW DO I PUT SAMPLES FROM MY PC TO MY MPC1000?

HOW DO I PUT SAMPLES FROM MY PC TO MY MPC1000?

I CONNECTED IT THE WAY THE MANUAL SAID AND IT WORKED... BUT I TRIED PUTTING THE SAMPLES FROM MY COMPUTER TO THE MPC... AND IT SHOWS UP ON THE MEMORY CARD... BUT IT WONT PLAY THEM...
ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE HELL IM DOIN WRONG?

use 44.1khz 16 bit samples ?

make a program and program the samples on the pads you wan,t em to play ?

use the stereo main out ?

select the program you programmed with your samles in the sequence track your playing ?

thats the most common error, incorrect formats

VERY **** FUNNY YEA I TURNED THEM INTO WAV FILES BUT IT DOESNT WORK..... NO BUT SERIOUS THO
WHATS THE EXACT FORMAT THEY SHOULD BE?
