I've had a 4000 for 5 years and I am looking to go the more portable/powerful laptop route? Is there any software that can read all of the mpc file formats (PGM, SEQ, etc.) and transfer the data easily from MPC to computer software or do I have to sit there and track in all of the audio for every beat I've done for the last 5 years?

Seq can be saved as mid file and read by most soft sequencing programs.

PGM = not sure for 4k. I use awave and mpc editor for 2kxl type pgms. Don't you have aksys or something.
