Help with hard drive and updating OS

I installed a 80gb hard drive into my mpc.. formatted the drive, and memory cards. I tried to delete everything on the internal memory but it only gives me the option to format the hard drive or CF. How do I delete everything on the internal memory? My second question is... How would I go about deleting my akai OS and installing JJ? I have the JJ os downloaded to my comp but i'm not sure what to do with it. Also... when I put samples to pads, after a few I get "insufficient memory" I don't understand this, I have 80gb... or do I need ram? I hate being a newb ahhhh help!

deleting the internal memory has been covered numerous times on here. try a search (there are different methods to it so check out a few of the hits that come up).....

the procedure to install or upgrade a new OS is on the Akai website, just follow the instructions.....

if you are getting insufficient memory problems you need to upgrade your RAM. your hard drive is just for storing samples; you're going to be limited as to how many samples can be loaded at any one time by the internal memory (RAM). Max it out as soon as possible!

HD is for saving your samples. RAM is your internal memory. I recommend picking up the ram asap. I would have gotten the ram long before the hard drive

There's internal memory besides RAM that retains information when the machine is shut off. I think it's only a few mb, and that's probably why it isn't really publicized much in the features.
