MPC NEWBIE Q

I just got my 1000 and i updated OS watever, anyways what i wanted to know is there CD's i can buy that have like roland and korg sounds on the m that i could put onto my mpc and then route them out so that i could play those instruments on a midi keyboard? i mean i was reading the manual but it doesn't go into great depth, any help on this issue would be really appreciated

Yes.

1. Look at ebay, there's millions of people selling triton, motif etc sounds on the net. Can't say whether any of them are legit because I've never used them. Also MPC Tutor sells sounds that are reportedly excellent though this site's sister site.

2. Read the manual on MIDI connections. Also http://www.tweakheadz.com/ has loads of stuff about MIDI and how you hook your gear up.

I don't mean to be rude though, but why did you not just get a roland or korg keyboard like a triton or something because they have sounds and sequencers on them. The MPC is for sampling mainly...

the man has a point. although I hear what your saying ,everybody wants to have the dopest sounds in their weapon of choice. its about arsenal man.

i needed a sampler and im heading to college so i was looking for portability, the reason i ask is because full size midi keyboards are alot less expensive then a full size synth
