help with buses

help with buses

i am using nuendo and a mpc 2000 xl when i track in to stereo it only trackes to the left side i am using a regular computer sound card when i go to my buses theres a santa cruz 1 and a santa cruz 2 i only have 1 sound card could that be the reason that its only tracking to the left side only? i try to make them both 1 santa cruz but everytime i try to it switches someone please help me!

Set up your DAW track to record stereo instead of mono.

Maybe a bad cable?

Maybe the wrong type of cable?

ya im going to try to make my daw record in stereo
i dont think its bad cables cuz when i sample it samples in stereo and the levels are the same
its the right cords i dont know what it is it also does this when i plug headphones in the phono jack with a adaptor

What type of adapter, describe it.

u said headphones, what type of adapter, find a picture of that SAME adapter on the internet and post it up, I wanna see it if possible.

im sorta figuring this out when i put my input 1 in the left speaker as my soundcard it records in the left side if i do it on the right it records on the right but it wont let me put 2 of the same in the left and right theres 2 of the same everytime i try to put 1 in the left speaker and 1 to the right speaker it switches by its self

That adapter is stereo so it's good to go, any other adapters invovled in the thing your having problems with right now?

Maybe you need to configure something in Nuendo, you need to look through ALL the options and menus to figure out what it is and why it's automatically switching to mono.

I don't have nuendo loaded right now so that's all I can say on it. Look around in your configs.

I'm sorry man but that was dumb.

Why'd you show me the first plug when I asked
you to show me the EXACT plug that you were using :? .

The first adapter is stereo.

The second adapter is mono. It ONLY results in mono output.

If you use a mono cable, then you get mono.

ok i just got a stereo adaptor and my mpc is plugged with 2 cords from the stereo out with a adaptor for putting them both together and a stereo adaptor to connect to my computer when i track on stereo it still only gos to the left side

Maybe it's time for you to get a new soundcard anyway. Plus you'll do yourself and Nuendo some justice by upgrading.

this use to happend to me i was using same thing you are but i used cubase and just copied the left to the right i dont know if you can do that in your software
