I'm a newb to the MPC universe, but I just purchased 4000 on Monday and I had a few questions:
1. Can I purchase the Akai IB-4ADT expansion board and go from lightpipe to s/pdif? OR am I better off purchasing the IB-4D Digital I/O board?
2. When I turn the machine off, I lose all the data saved onto the MPC. How do I save the samples that I load into the memory so I can have them ready when I turn the machine back on?
3. My volume pot snapped off during shipment and I was wondering if I can repair it myself. I called the Akai authorized dealers and it's almost a $90 fix for a $10 switch...
4. My MPC has a few cosmetic defects. Can I purchase touchup paint and clean up the scruff marks? What type of white paint is on the MPC?
