You know that you have to open up Protools (or whatever software you use) and monitor the inputs your MPC is hooked up to, right?

ight don;t look like u gettin much help fam so let me see what I can do for ya...

well If you only running an MPC alone there really isnt a point to even have that mixer in your chain....you can track and monitor through ya digi 002 by itself....thats ONLY IF you want to track your beats to the computer or if you need something from your computer...DAW, VST's etc...

you WILL have to open pro tools and set your channels to which ever channel you have the MPC running through....so that you hear it...

if you are not even really concerned with tracking and just want to hear and bang out on the mpc...then just plug ya monitors or headphones directly to ya mpc's outputs....

if you ARE wanting to incorporate the ccomputer then just run everything to ya 002 OR if you want to hear everything you can run ya mpc, mons and anything else to ya mixers inputs then run ya main out of ya mixer to the 002 and you can function each channel seperatly on ya mixer...

if I was you at this point I would unplug the mixer and take it out ya chain all together (for now) and just run EVERYTHING to ya 002...

once you realize why you would need a mixer THEN incorporate it but for now get familair with the basics then let ya equipment grow as ya knowledge does....

that should get u on the right path man....or atleast help u be able to piece things together...

the thing is b4 i had the mpc 2500 the mixer korg triton extreme proteus 2000 and a mackie spike interface (all in one interface)(b4 i sold my korg and proteus, but i might get a korg again in the future)
then all i did is have the monitors pluged into the interface then the xlr on the interface was linked with the main outs on the mackie interface then i would have to always have the laptop on to hear my beat
now are u sayin the best way is to have the monitors linked to the mpc then where do the stereo outs go and the 8 main outs and incase i do get more things like korg etc where would that go

re-read what I typed homie...slower...

I was mentioning all different ways depending on what YOU wanted to do...

if you wanted to incorporate your computer OR NOT

you made it somewhat sound as if you wanted to just bang out on the MP and wanted to hear it so easiest solution is just run the mon's directly to ya mp and get crackin...

obviously if your wanting to use your computer and are planning on adding other equipment then that senerio above would NOT apply...

in this case I would run everything to the 002 for now and once you start adding more equipment and NEED the extra ins/outs then you can add ya mixer....or you could use the mixer now and run the mpc and ya mons to the mixer and then mixer to 002 but Im not fond of that mixer so I rather not use it untill there was no other option...

hopefully this helps pimp...lol...I cant really see away to explain any easier....

alright...I don't understand anything you just said (maybe I didn't read it slow enough). lol

what I was saying you need to do is, once your MPC is hooked up to your 002, you need to open up Cubase SX, go to VST Connections in the Devices menu, add a Stereo Bus in the Inputs tab (make sure the Device Ports are the same as the inputs where you have the MPC plugged into), close that window and then add a stereo audio track, select your input from the dropdown menu on the left side, hit the Monitor button (beside the Record Enable) on the track you created...THEN you can hear what your playing on the MPC!!!

yeah, I know...sh*t sucks, right? that's why I got rid of my Digi 002 and got an Motu 828MKII!!!

let me know if this helps.

...oNe...

yeah i got u loud and clear i couldnt hear nuffin cus i never knew i had to click monitor thanks everyone.
Now i have another issue im tryner record a beat i did on mpc and there is a bass sound i used from reason now when rewire it says midi input problem one or two inputs could not be oped then when i go in preferences its got no midi but when i click the tap there is two options digi control port or digidesign digi 002 port 1 i tried them both still reason wont play the sound what is the problem and thanks for the digi 002 and mpc issue i had (i have no choice but to unplug shit everytime im ready to record might look into Motu 828MKII)
and another thing when i change the audio cable from mpc to digi (mpc stereo out - digi line 1 and 2) line 1-2 to line 3-4 it dont play the beat but if i put it back in 1-2 there is sound not that its a problem for now jus when i upgrade dont wanna have to come back on here and get my head torn off lol
