Syncronizing

I've used the search engine, but no results for what i'm lookin for.
Listen... I just cant get this to work...
Ive got a MPC 2000XL wich is hooked up by a midilink USB MIDI cable to my Laptop. The MPC Sync screen is set on the left side for MTC, frame rate 25 and receive MMC. Ive got SONAR 6 prod. edition, and Cubase sx, but on both DAWs it wont sync. I dont know if the settings are correct in my DAW. Dont know how to set them up. I dont know what the problem is??? Is it because i use the Midilink, and I should buy a better midi interface?? Can u guys help me out???

i doubt its the midi interface, make sure ur settings are correct in your daw. im assuming u set your daw to MTC aswell? if not you should do that, or try another midi option.

I've got my settings set up like this in SONAR 6:
IT's set for Midi Sync, Timecode Format 25fps, Transmit MMC, and sent midi time code. Is this correct??

i believe if u have the mpc set to MTC, u need to set sonar to MTC aswell
