Pitch shifting with the fader on the fly?

Hey I was wondering on the 4k can you pitch shift with the fader on the fly while recording. I could do it with my 2k but Im not sure how to do it with my 4k , please help..

Cool so I figuared it out but the one thing I cant figuare out is when I move the fader the sound changes pitch when I move it. Is there a way to make it so every time I move the fader the sound doesnt change?

This isn`t clear and it not understandable what you are trying to do?

A controller changes the sound that is the purpose. If you don`t want the sound to change don`t assign it to an controller!!!

Im sorry its just hard to explain. See with my 2k I would use the fader to change the pitch. But I could hit the pad and if the fader was up, the pitch would be high and the sound would play high, then I could move the fader while the high pitch sound was playing and go low , but the sound wouldnt go low until I hit the pad. On the 4k before I even hit the pad and move the fader the sound starts to move with the fader. All I want to do is be able to play the sound but move the fader with out the sound changing . I hope this makes sense...

The 4k is real time as you move the fader the parameter adjusts real time. The after step slider on the 2xl is more like the pad editor function on the 4k under the send page. Not the recieve page, go to send page in qlink check for pad editor under the qlink>pad edior>pitch. In this mode you control the individual pad like on the 2xl.

Now as your way of working it is the trouble I feel. It is better to make a simple pattern and tweak the pitch as the sequence plays that way you are using your ears for the sound or key you want. Then record the pattern you are after. But it up to you to adjust your ways or else.

4k isn`t that hard use you have to step your game up.

I believe the problem is that you have the q-link assigned to 'realtime' instead of 'note on' , you want the sound to change after you send another note on message.

There isn`t any note on settings for qlink. There are only replace which means total control and offset whcih means add/substract to/from the value you already have.

There is a note on setting for the pad under program just like on the 2xl. Note on, Note off, and Loop is the triggering of the pad. The individual is using a controller as source>> destination which is pitch. Just like on the 2xl using after slider assigned to pitch. After slider aka source and pitch aka destination.

What are you talking about assigning note-on to qlink do you even have a 4k or mpc don`t confuse the guy?
