What does record gain have to do with midi???

If you want the sound louder then you need to turn your Source (Keyboard) up, or turn up the channel in the mixer that the keyboard is in. Or Turn up the keyboard in your mixer screen on the track that your on in the keyboard.

The keyboard is all the way up volume wise as well as the channel within the mpc.
