I wanted to know what type of options i had to sample and chop on my mac until i can save up enough for an mpc. I am running ableton lite 5, i have KONTAKT 2, a bunch of demo vst's, an alesis firewire mixer/interface and an axiom keyboard. Also instead of software would it make sense to grab an mpd and a s3000 or one of those? is it the same type thing as an mpc??

Also hello everyone....this is my first post

Thanks PEACE!!

Whatever you're working with at the moment (you did mention kontakt).

record your sample into live, then import that sample into kontakt 2 and slice it up in kontakt 2.

all you have to do is read alittle. live and kontakt are two very powerful programs. kontakt has multiple sampling modes, do some reading in that chapter.

i could walk you thru exactly what needs to be done but you will get more out of it if you do some reading yourself.

everything you need is right there in front of you.
