No Midi Signal

I am tryin to use my mpc 1000's midi options to control trigger notes in my software vsts(softsynths) and what not. I am using logic 5.5 on a pc. already checked all logic midi settings?....my interface is the event ezbus runnin into event ez8. when i press on the pads i dont see a midi signal in either the ezbus or software. Any help would be appreciated.

as dumb as it sounds make sure your wiring is correct. Midi out from MP to Midi in on Pc.
