Triton Studio with MPC? JJ os?

Aright im gettin a MPC 2000 or 2000xl i dont know yet, whatever deal i can find i guess... im wonderin, i got a Korg Triton studio 61 key, if i can transfer my songs from that to the MPC so i can arrange my song easier when recording, my "verse/hooks"... i usually record my songs to a Roland 2000cd
but its a pain in the ass when u got to hit the tiny touchscreen box on the keyboard to take out or put in instruments....i just want to loop what i want like with chopped samples on a MPC. Just tryin to make this as clear as i can.....Aprrechiate any help can get on here. and i keep hearin about this jj/os thing, is it only needed for MPC 1000?

I don't anything about JJOS's capabilities, I use a 3000. I have a triton studio also. you're gonna have to "somehow" (tried it but never got it to work)sync the mpc and triton's sequencer. Set the mpc's loop to the amount of bars that your triton sequence becomes repetitive, solo and record each track by have the mpc record while the triton plays. THEN make sequence copies, muting the un-needed parts on the different sequences to match the parts of your triton sequence, THEN lay it all out in song mode on the mpc.

Honestly, I'd rather just re-do the beats on the MPC

With an mpc 1000 you don't even need to use the sequencer on the triton to use its sounds. I have the Triton Extreme, the 1k, and the VS2000CD studio.

Basically you do a midi handshake from the triton to the mpc. then press sequence and pick your sounds.

track 1 on the triton is midi track 1 on the mpc

track 2 is 2 and so on and so forth

Synching the sequencers on the MPC and the triton is really easy, I just never do it.


And another cool thing about JJOs with the 1k is after you have made a midi track, you can resample the triton sound right into the mpc and free up a midi track, simple as that!

throw it into the VS2000, mix it down, master it and viola!

The JJ OS is also for the 2500. It's not needed,...hold on.....yeah it is! If you wanna get the full use out of your MPC past what even akai imagined for it than you need it! enjoy!
