New to the MPC, need some help?

Hello, new to the site and looking for some advice. I was thinking about buying a mpc 2000xl, but I never used and type of mpc before and I was wondering if its a bad idea to even buy an mpc off the back, or if the 2000xl is a good choice for me as a begginer? Any advice on this?

the 2000xl is a classic machine, but when just starting? the mpc1000 is a dreamweaver, at least in my experience.
