Okay I appreciate all who can answer this question for me. I have a new Technics mk5 that I got for a deal off of craigslist and I'm waiting for my mpc 2000xl to come soon. I really want to equalize my own drum sounds and not getting those cheap drum sample cd's. I am confused with this equalize/mixing stuff and I want to know if I need a mixer or a preamp for tuning my sounds. Do I need a dj mixer, analog mixer, or a preamp. If its possible, can anyone recommend any good mixers/preamps for under $300. Thanks
