WHO KNOWS ABOUT

Can you help me out man i would greatly appreciate it....

So i have an mpc 1000, a yamaha MM6, an mbox with pro tools, and an imac and i dont know what else i need... im just starting out and i got a lot of equipment to start with... but dont really know what to do wiith it....
I pretty much know how to use all of those besides pro tools....

I'd go cop a Pro Tools tutorial or take a class. I got a certification tutorial for Logic, and now I know it like the back of my hand.
Best advice I can give you. Pro tools is easy too. So you'll learn pretty fast. Or maybe you can look for a Pro tools forum.
Better yet, like I said, just get a tutorial. You'll thank yourself for taking the time and patience out to really learn the ins and outs of Pro Tools.
But if you have MPC q's I'd love to help.

you think they have those at guitar center? i just dont want to buy a tutorial that wont help me ya know. it comes with a tutorial but im sure it doesnt go into details like the one your talkin about does

You can go to Guitar Center or try Borders or Barnes & Nobles. All of them should have tutorials.
Just ask for advice. Get people's opinions and try to decide what might work best. You can look @ the books and see what they cover, so that will give you anidea of which 1 would be the best for you. Anyone of them will prolly teach you something you don't know though. That's always a come up.

Sweetwater has method one for the basics. If you have messed with any of the major DAWs it the pretty much the same. If you mess around you should be able to figure out a lot of the stuff you need. Digi also has some stuff at the site.
