thinkin about gettin the mpc 1000 ebook from this site BUT..

I apologize if not in the correct forum but due to the nature of my question wasn't sure if it fit the mpc 1000 forum or the mpc 1000 jj os forum..but it definately fit the beginner startin forum...


I was bout to cop that ebook and was going thru the preview's of it..

it seem mad usefull and informative...

but when i checked my mpc 1000 it dont' seem to follow what the book instructs, did some fact check on this site. and i realized its different operating systems for the mpc...

my got a JJ OS on it... which aint' a thang but the book seems to be for the 2.1 version OS for the mpc 1000


so am I bucked? if i buy the books, is it COMPLETELY useless to me since i aint' got the operating system on my machien that the book was written for?

lookin for any and all feedback on this situation..

Nah you aint really Fawked persay....most of the stuff will still apply and you would learn from it...but obviously the updates that come from the JJ OS will not be in the book unless they made a version for the JJ OS which I'm not aware of....

I'm pretty sure you would still make benefit of it regardless though as it's pretty informative and its based around the mpc 1000 regardless of OS....

i got the 2000xl one & i'd say it's worth the money

unless you got alot of time on your hands and can learn it all yourself

but then again it takes you through every aspect of how to use the machine so yea..

up to you if you got the spare cash

I'd say most of my ebook is valid for the JJ OS - obviously there are minor differences with the core features and there are extra features that come with the JJ that this book doesn't cover, although early next year we may be looking at providing some kind of 'upgrade' book for JJ users - we'll see on that one...
