Need some advice about naming programs.

aight so... my mpc is strait up stock. ive got the akai beats and sounds still on there haha, but im puttin together my own sound library. whats the way to organize my sounds...

ive make a new program. and chop up my drum breaks or w/e. do yall fill up all 4 pad banks with snares/hats/bass... and what do you name it so that you have an idea whats in there? does it really matter?

or do yall fill up the A bank with snares, B hats, C bass etc

or what? i wanna get some suggestions so that i can determine the best method before i start to put up some mass sounds on my flash card

FOR ME, ionno about other people, but i keep them all on one bank. For example i keep one row, or maybe a row and a half, full of hi hits and shakers, then another row with kicks and another row with snares. that way i can press the pads at the same time to see how they would sound together, instead of recording a snare sequence and then pressing the kick pad to see how it would sound together, only to see that they dont mesh well, or the snare sequence isnt how i wanted it to be.

the hihats/shakers dont matter much tho, i could save another program for them. but when im making the drum patterns, i like to place the pads for each right next to each other, or at least on the same bank, so i can mess around with it.
