New to MPC's

yo ive been reading this forum for tips and tricks to learn on mpc's in hope that it would help me chose which one is for me
im thinking the 1000 for the amount of time i spend at other studios, does anyone know..

is the original mpc1000 with the old pads discontinued
and does anyone know if the black mpc1000 with the new pads is readily available in australia yet
