Im trynna sync all of them together

i know i would have to midi in / outs

my problem is how would i be able to record all the sounds into 002 on different tracks?

and how do i get the MM6 to Play While The MK is playing And adding my drums sounds on my MPC? basiclly making everything on my mpc and layering it out on pro tools?

You just dropped like close to 3 grand on a setup you have no clue how to use. Take that sh*t back and go buy a motorcycle, wtf.

You should get a mixer.

step one: read the manuals

step two: go to Tweakheadz website and look up stuff you didn't understand while reading the manuals

step three: come back here and ask questions if the manual says to do X and X ain't happening.....

alrite whats better using a mixer or pro tools? cause i can get them all to work if i get a decent cheap mixer would it control all the sounds while i map it out on the 002?

It depends on if you have the 002 rack or the controller. If you have the rack, you dont need a mixer.

But why after spending so much money would you buy a cheap mixer?

alrite i have the 002 rack board aka. the digital mixer

so then i don't need a mixer right?

the downfall on the micro korg is it doesn't have loop back play or multi timbrel or whatever its called? so how do you get the mm6 & mk to work together thru the mpc while adding drums....?

then i can figure out how to track it out on the PT's because i found out how to do it with the mk & MPC already

Not meant to offend but you need to learn how to walk before you can run. You are trying to do a whole bunch right now and its going to be confusing.

Basically what you are going to end up with is some variation of this:

Audio

1. The audio outs of the mpc into the 002
2. The audio outs of the mm6 to the 002
3. The audio outs of the micro to the 002

then you have to go into protools and initialize a bunch of crap to get it so you can actually hear audio.


Midi

1. Midi Handshake 1k & mm6
2. Midi handshae 1k & microkorg

now here's the tricky part.

you basically dont have enough midi outs to synch protools up with your setup. so whats the solution? well, you could do some type of hanky jank midi through setup with the mm6 and the microkorg, but to be honest, I dont know how to do that. What I do know you can do is, unplug the in of the microkorg thats going into the 1k, and plug a midi cable from the midi out of the 002 rack to the in of the 1k. Then you have to setup protools to be the midi master and the 1k to be the midi slave (which undoubtedly you will not know how to do, and you will need to either do a search on how to do this or start a new thread). Then you are going to track out your mpc drums and your mm6 sounds onto protools. you are then going to reset the midi clock back to 0 on protools. Unplug the midi from the mm6, plug in the midi from the micro, and put the midi from the 002 into the slot freed by the mm6.



I can guarentee that you are going to fukk up a lot trying to do all of this, and have millions more questions. Likely you will not even get past step one without **** up.

I suggest getting your audio ins of your three machines into the 002 rack and figure out how to get sound from them. From there, you can just arm all 6 tracks and press play record and at least get some sound/recording done. From there you can fiddle.
