some random question

u know how theres records with common breaks for drums to start off with? well are there any for bass i never have bass in my beats and i wanna start to do this. i dont have a keyboard that has bass so im guessing this would b my only way to do so. also if i were to get a lil 8 trak mixer with some effects this can alter my drums/bass/samples befor going into the mp correct?peace.thanks in advance.

There's probably some sample cd's of basslines, but as far as vinyl of only basslines and no drums, I kind of doubt it. I'd just invest in a decent microKorg or Alesis Ion if it were me....

the only song I can think of at the moment with a clean bass break in it is 'Jamaican Marketplace' by Ramsey Lewis off the Solarwind LP

You can always filter the bassline though sometimes to great result, or pitch down the keyboard that you have already and filter that some too
