This really sucks i need analternative storage method

I need something that I can hook up the my PC and load the samples in that I chopped up and then put them on my MPC 2000. I have floppy's right now and Each floppy only hold like i chop. I have to use like 15 floppy's for each sample that I chop up. I have a zip coming, but my question is will I be able to hook it up to my computer and then unhook it and hook it back up to my MPC with the samples on the disk. Will I need two seperate cables or two seperate drives..

Or is there a better method all together.... Harddrive etc... I have the original 2000 non XL. Will a card reader work?

Yeah I get what you're saying that can be pretty annoying. I actually wanted to do that with my MPC 3000 but if you read the information on that subject in this forum you'll get warnings not to because apparently the PC will **** up your files .
Well you made a good choice by getting a ZIP disk cuz that's gona multiply your samling capailities and storage. What you can do is try recording samples at 45rpm on the turntable and slowing them dwn in tha MPC and recording to mono.
