I have an MPC 2000 XL, Roland A-30 midi controller, Tascam 1884 control surface, Sonar Producer Edition 3, Mackie HR824 monitors (speakers), Rode NT1-A Microphone, and a laptop. i am alittle confused how to hook the Mackie HR824 Speakers to the set up. thanks in advance

You need a mixer if your Tascom control surface has no audio monitor output. Check out a basic computer setup at www.tweakheadz.com.

just hook them to the tascams monitor out 1 and 2...
seems to be the only logical place in this setup.
and you don´t need a mixer!!! the tascam is a standalone 18in/2out mixer, an firewire audio and midi interface and a mackie control compatible daw control surface. this is the best interface compared to the projectmix or the digi002/003 if you do not need protools. it has 8xlr in/ surround outs!/ and four midi in and out!!!
only if you want to use a turntable with no built in preamp you need some small dj mixer for that.

Yeah I see your Tascam has audio I/Os which is why I said IF in the previous post check your manual and the Mackies have two inputs the 1/4 line inputs plus TRS inputs. Check your manuals first. Good luck.
