I've had my mpc for a little while, i haven't really had much interest in it until now, i just got a record player so i've been sampling like a madman. i used to make electronic based stuff, but now i've been listening to daedelus/busdriver /weird breaks, and i'm just curious, as to how i could build a sick bassline? none of the records i have really have a single bass note i can take out and sample with, any help?

You can always filter the rest, unwanted frequencies. Even 2000xl has lo pass filter, so it should be enough. It is for me anyway. Try to be creative and sample stuff that's not necessarily very clean, not only a 1 note, but a whole loop. Then make a melody out of it, your own bass melody. If you have to - tune the sounds, so they match to the rest of your stuff.
Enjoy : )
