I've had my mpc for a little while, i haven't really had much interest in it until now, i just got a record player so i've been sampling like a madman. i used to make electronic based stuff, but now i've been listening to daedelus/busdriver /weird breaks, and i'm just curious, as to how i could build a sick bassline? none of the records i have really have a single bass note i can take out and sample with, any help?

Take a sample, with a good bottom sound, apply a low pass filter to it until you get a good sound.

16 level it

or just dig for records with good bass breaks, theres PLENTY, whatever kind of bass u lookin for, double bass jazz sh!t, funk bass, synth bass.. whatever.. just get lookin..

or u could get a synth or old cheap keyboard for bass.. or just make bass with a sine wav or 2 filtered
