I just got some copies of some acapella song's and I just wanted to try and lay some beats down with the vocals. I can't seem to get the correct timing to match the vocals. I tried tap tempo and they both seem to match when it first starts but by the fourth bar they are off sync with each other.

Is there any kind of way that I can get them to stay in sync with each other?

try bpming the actual track your taking the acapella from. Make sure that track doesnt have tons of tempo changes. Also if that doesnt work try chopping up the acapella and fit it in as needed. Sometimes it works better than others. You just gotta freak it.

I tried bpm-ing the track also but I didn't think about trying to chop it so I'll try that and see how that goes......thanks!

If you work with a good DAW, then you could just quantise the audio track to fit.

I WORK WITH PRO TOOLS BUT I'M AFRAID THAT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE TRACK FIT THE VOCALS.
