notes not firing properly.

Hi,

When using a MPC or MPK (or whatever device similar like Axiom), I have noticed when I press a key or a pad and then press it again right away it sometimes does not play. It is like it almost stops the playback cause there were hit to close together, when in fact that is what I am trying to do. I was using my MPC last night and I am hitting pads a01 and a02 and I am using them pretty quickly and sometimes it misses notes and it get’s annoying. Same goes on my MPK. Has anyone else had this issue? What have you guys done?

I can only tell from my experience with 2000xl model, but what you described seems fine. I mean when I bought my machine I used to think that pads are not working properly cause they acted like sometimes they would play a not or double note, sometimes they wouldn't.
But after some time I got used to it - meaning, that mpc's pads are very sensitive to even slight strokes, so I understood that it was (still is) THAT good and responds even better that I expected.
Nothing to worry about, unless of course I didin't quite get your problem in the full meaning.

lol...I think you did. I have the 1000 so real diff. I do also get the annoying issue when I hit the pad I get a double hit...I HATE THAT!!!! Also I noticed that my bottom 4 pads are so stiff that I really have to press really really hard for them to respond where as the top 4 pads I can blow on them and they would trigger..LOL..well not really blow on them.

My issue is when I am hitting several pads in sequence very quickly it seems like when 1 note plays and very quickly I hit another pad to trigger the next sound...like kick, kick, clap, snare....the clap or snare don't trigger. But I go slower then I does.
