i've have done alot of searching on this, i have found some posts that are bery helpful and i just have an issue with the midi cabling.

i have an mpc100 and would like to use reason 4 as a sound module.

i really hope i'm not breakin anybodys balls because i'm sure many people have asked this, but any help will be greatly appreciated.

i am buying an m-audio axiom 25, it has both a usb connection for midi aswell as standard midi connections.

what way do i hook the midi cables with the mpc with the controller to the computer? and how many cables would i need? i have an m-audio 2496 which has just two midi connections, 1 in and 1 out.

what part dont u get?
It's as simple as
MPC MIDI Out to PC MIDI IN
and PC MIDI Out to MPC MIDI In

then follow the instructions from the video
is it that hard? :?

yes i do get that part, thats what i want to set up, but sparqs video shows implemnting a usb midi cable from the contoller aswell as a direct midi link from the controller to mpc.

i just wanted to know how using the usb midi works, does it have to operate on a different channel? this would be useful to control reason without turning the mpc on,

i have had many responses simply saying: 'unplug the usb when using midi with the mpc' , but sparq seems to have it all connected with no problems, i just don't want to have to be pulling out cables evry time i want to switch what i'm wortking with, and that would be quite often.
