i have been setting up my studio over the past 3 months
after being on a year hiatus from being a fruity loops fanatic
this is my first home studio and i feel like i have learned the individual pieces enough to try connect them together, i think i know how i want to run the studio but every day i learn something that changes my mind, and i learn about something that i understand the concept of but not how to apply it
i have fallen in love with the asr-10 sampling, effects, filters etc
and the mpc's sequencing
i have an mpc1000 with 128 mb ram and jjos and i love it, i feel like i know pretty dahm well as a stand alone
as for the asr-10 i know the basics and i am learning every day,
i would like to know in your opinion what is the best way to have these machines work together and how best to utilize them
right now i am recording samples into my asr-10 putting effects on them and then sampling into the mpc and chopping them up and sequencing them
i would like to use the asr-10 as an effects board afterwards,
along with this i am contending with learning the motif, protools etc, and now i have the patchbay to contend with but i have the feeling it will solve alot of my problems once i get my head around it.
i am a fast learner and have been reading manuals and forums but there is just some stuff that i need some back and forth with,
if anyone would like to maybe drop me a pm if you know your way around
mpc1000, asr-10, midi, studio connections, protools, mac based setups, motif racks, recording and gain levels etc, circuit bending, patchbays
i would love to be able to ask some questions
on the other hand, if anyone needs any help with
floops or some basic help with the mpc or software setups i would be more then happy to help
my aim is chuckpump, but i wont be on unless you tell me to do so
please pm me or email me at [email protected] if you dont mind me asking you some questions over an instant messenger
thanks alot
