editing software

i having trouble with sample editing, whic free software do you reccomend me to edit sounds and samples

Do you have a Mac or PC?

If you are going the free route, I would say for Mac, audacity is a good editing software. I use it when i'm to lazy to turn the jog wheel (Just woke up and want to sample). If you have a pc, I heard that reaper is a very good program. Don't expect these programs to do miraculous things because they are freeware. They are decent for getting the job done though. But eventually you should save up and buy recycle. You will be happy you did.
