i need help (noob)

fyi Noob question
i just cop'd a mpc 1000 and uploaded os JJ on that
anyways for some reason i can't put drums over my melodies.

i sampled some guitar riffs and i wanted to add drums but every time i'd play those drums they'd over lap the guitar sample so all i had was....Kick..guitar note.snare ....blank spot...kick kick. guitar snare.

i've tried to mess with the poly overlap but now im finally lost
help please

you can't put all your sounds on the same track... move the cursor to where it says TR: DRUM 1... and change the 1 to 2 or whatever and record your drums there.

now download the manual and don't be a lazyass.
