mpc 500 sequences.

hey everyone, new to the forum. just have a quick question about my mpc 500, that the manual doesn't really explain. i can make some pretty good sequences, like a seperate one with drum tracks, and a good bass one as well. i'm just curious how to i put them together into one solid sequence so i can make an actual song out of them playing at the same time.

to make a song you go to SONG mode.

thanks for the help. i know how to use song mode, but i cant figure out how to layer two different secuences that are both 4 bars long as the same time so the drums play at the same time ass the bass which are in two different secuences. new to the mpc 500 as well. maybe im missing a peice of the puzzle. thanks again.

you mean like mix them in together???

well if thats what u mean, do this, this is the way i would do it.

just move everything into its own track on a new sequence.

or if you just want the bass. copy the bass track to a new track on the sequence you want it too.

all it takes is a little messing around, c'mon man be careful with the question you asked or youll get the "noob serve treatment"

the way i do it is,

1) create a seq
2) start with whatever ur comfortable with (bassline) w/e
record/assign and play that sound to Tr:A-1 on your sequence.
3) for your 2nd sample (clap) w/e
4) rec/over dub the clap(in #3 right above) sound while the 1st track is playing (which is w/e you used for #1 above) and assign that to Tr:A-2.
5) then, press seq and press "play". if it's the sound you want, keep it. if not, just go back and re-do that sound.

Create sequence with all your sounds and subtract after copy sequence or build up after copying....of coursr modify as you want to add and subtract tracks
