floppt to zip; possible?

can this be done?
mayebe i should put the ? like this , is there any way to ugrade or swapout
the floppy drive on 2000 for an internal zip drive? all input is welcomed.

Or you can go for the cheaper solution and buy an external SCSI zip drive on ebay. or an external SCSI harddisk or an external SCSI card reader.

Follow the white rabbit...to an external card reader B. Expensive, but still cheaper than getting your 2K modded to take an internal ZIP, unless you do it yourself, AND you aren't f*cking with Zip disks and drives.

Search an ide zip drive on ebay!!!forat and mpc stuff are too expensive,i bought mine for 10$ and it's the same stuff!!!
I think 100mb size better than 250mb cause is much faster!!!!
P.s:Don't forget an external zip drive for your pc!!!!

I'm totally new to the MPC 2K XL (floppy, 32mb, 8mb flash), just got one yesterday.
I want to have an internal zip 100 as well. It means less stuff to plug in and saves table top space. Plus I have a ton of zip disks left over from my Roland vs-840 days.
Truskullzbeats...why did you say make sure you get one for your computer? For swapping with PC for editing?
Just to be clear...it is possible to install a zip 100, without the MPC becoming prone to errors, basically, Will it behave 100% normally after the install? I think it's worth the extra effort and money, but only if it doesnt add headaches. (For example, I think I saw somewhere that the akai will still always look for the floppy that isn't there and give an error, but that it's not a functional problem.)
I notice there are some conflicting opinions about post-factory internal zips.

Zip drives that you see installed in the latest version of mpc2000xl(before the mcd version) are common internal IDE zip drive made by NEC,like this one:
